Skill Overview
Cooking is a free-to-play skill which allows players to cook food which can be eaten to restore hitpoints. It is one of the fastest skills to level up in the game.

Low Level Methods
Starting out (Levels 1-15)
From levels 1-15 you will be cooking shrimp. You can either catch them yourself (the best spot is at Draynor Village) or buy them on the Grand Exchange and cook them on the fires that people make there.
Medium levels (Levels 15-50)
At level 15, you will begin cooking trout. You can do this for free at Barbarian Village on a populated world, where players powerfish trout and salmon. You can begin cooking the salmon too once you reach level 25, and you will stay at this spot until 35 cooking. Once you hit level 35, you will then switch to tuna until level 50.
Medium levels (Levels 15-50)
At level 15, you will begin cooking trout. You can do this for free at Barbarian Village on a populated world, where players powerfish trout and salmon. You can begin cooking the salmon too once you reach level 25, and you will stay at this spot until 35 cooking. Once you hit level 35, you will then switch to tuna until level 50.
Fast Training Methods
Cooking Raw Lobsters (50-75)
At level 40, you can cook lobsters. However, the burn rate is too high at this level, so you shouldn't start cooking them until level 50 cooking. Cooking lobsters can be up to 160,000 xp/h.
Cooking Raw Swordfish (75-99)
At level 75 cooking, you can cook swordfish without burning them too much. Cooking swordfish is the fastest possible experience in free-to-play, up to 170,000 xp/h.
Profitable Methods
Making Anchovy Pizzas (55+ Cooking)
Making anchovy pizzas can be one of the best money-making methods in free-to-play. To make anchovy pizzas: take out 14 anchovies and 14 plain pizzas from the bank, and use one item on the other (don't eat them). You can still get decent experience from this method, about 98,000 per hour.
