Are Mining Gloves worth it in OSRS?

Mining Gloves are worth it for mining Amethyst. The Expert Mining Gloves increase the AFK time of mining these.

If you're mining Iron Ore in the Mining Guild then yes, it will increase your XP per hour if you're timing it right.

They do take a while to get but are worth it if you're committing to a long grind or on the road to 99.

However, they aren't absolutely required if you're not after the fastest XP.
