  4. Menaphite Blackjack Meta

Ty for the most liked content on the website guys going to start my own thread where i can let go of a torrent of tips if that sounds good.
  5. A helpful note I found while playing early on the hardcore, once you hit 79 firemaking completing witches house and getting 25 hp makes Wintertodt a whole lot easier. This is also useful for regular ironmen too as you dont need to eat some rounds because your hp is so high, making WT easier. Here's why if you are wearing the 4 warm items of clothing, when you are level 79 Firemaking you can have 25 hp and still be under 1 damage from the standard attack assuming there are 3 braziers lit, this paired with a ring of life from the Lost Tribe quest will allow you to do Wintertodt safely as you only take 10 damage max a round. it also ensures you hit 2 or 1 hp and tele to safety if you disconnect, but if you stay topped off you shouldn't die from the cold in the time after dc. Hope this helps For the standard attack Damage = 1.974683544303797 = (16 - 4 - 6) x (25 +1)/79 Because Wintertodt rounds down damage you only receive 1 damage with 3 braziers lit. It should also be noted this is assuming you are on the WT home world with other people lighting the other braziers. 6. a little QOL for those who didn´t know

For early level slayer if you ask to trade the slayer master after you recieve a task, i.e rockslugs and choose the option to trade without closing the chat interface, you can see in the shop window the items you need highlighted in a circle and the osrs client will give you the option to buy the items x of your task so if you get 110 rockslugs it will be highlighted and right click buy option of salt will have one of 110. Something i didn't realise until after 99 slay on my main and starting slay on a new account.
  7. What is your favorite skilling method

Slayer for sure, banking on the 10% chance to get the same task again with cape is real nice for bosses
  8. Menaphite Blackjack Meta

Hopefully this should save around 30+ hours compared to ardy knights from 55, blackjack to 80 then starting Ardy knights with medium Ardy cape After 80 rogues set and Ardy knights are king!
  9. A guide to Menaphite Blackjacking, designed to reduce the amount of effort from a high input high reward ability unlocked after The Fued quest is complete. First of all some basics. When Blackjacking failing will result in the NPC (Non-Player Character) engaging in combat with you, you can work around this by immediately selecting the Knock-out option again, or pick-pocketing (succeeding will result in the NPC losing aggro. Failing also does this but you will receive 5 damage assuming you're doing Menaphites.) which is more effective the higher level you are. For less resets at an early level you can opt into doing knock-outs but it is more click intensive whereas with pick pocketing you only do the one action either result will leave your character out of combat. Most of these tips can be seen on Theoatrix's 1-99 Thieving guide. The main note of this guide is to explain a lure where your character can simply run a few squares away in the same room and the NPC will be on the edge of its roam area and disengage combat. This remedies one of the more annoying problems with Menaphite blackjacking at 65, as there is no ladder within lure distance like the 2 Bandits to the north of Pollniveach, where you would originally have to open curtain, leave room to lose aggro etc. Steps to luring the right Menaphite: Step 1. The correct Menaphite spawns further to the NE, generally hanging around the NW of the bar and occasionally in the camel trader room to the NW. If you think you've found him Lure. Step 2. With the Menaphite following run south through the alleyway marked with the blue arrow. Step 3. The edge of the pathing area of the Menaphite we want ends at the red line. If they stop there and do not continue following you have the correct one. It may take some practice to find the right one first time every time. Step 4. The room to use is the one directly to the west of the alley with the two curtains. The southern curtain is by default open and will open within a couple minutes of closing it but the northern curtain is by default closed. Lure your Menaphite into the room and lure the other NPCs out (street urchins are annoying, you can close in your Menaphite and pickpocket in south room and leave northern curtain open hoping it leaves if you want). Step 5. Set your client to resizable and turn NPC 'Attack' options to Hidden. Minimize chat window on. If you are on OSB remove zoom cap to zoom in closer with control, or just zoom in all the way. Here is a picture of what it should look like when you right click. You should aim to be able to click knockout on the npc in its standing and knocked out position on the ground for seamless attempts. A good way to think of blackjacking is thinking of 2 actions as one, if you always right click after left clicking the right-click window will always be open, and it feels more like a 3 action rotation than a 6 action one! Step 6. If you lag/misclick the knock-out or pickpocket option after failing your original knockout and you end up in combat you just click on the map on the red x to run to safety. Saving a whole load of time and frustration as anyone who has dabbled with blackjacking would probably know! Thanks for reading, hope this helps with future grinding, the goal is to hopefully save a ton of hours for everyone.
